We are looking for a Frontend Tech Lead to own the frontend technology and execution across key product areas. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in React.js, proven people-management experience, and end-to-end ownership of products. You will lead the frontend team, drive architecture and engineering standards, and work closely with product and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality user experiences.
What you'll do
- Own the frontend technology roadmap, architecture, and engineering standards.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of frontend engineers.
- Take end-to-end ownership of key products and frontend initiatives.
- Design and build scalable, maintainable frontend systems using React.js.
- Drive technical decisions around architecture, performance, security, and developer experience.
- Establish best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering processes.
- Partner closely with product, design, backend, and business teams to define and deliver product experiences.
- Review code, provide technical direction, and raise the overall engineering quality of the team.
- Own production reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of frontend applications.
Must have
8–11 years of strong frontend engineering experience. Expert-level hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Proven experience managing and mentoring frontend engineers. Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a product or major product area. Strong experience designing scalable frontend architecture and systems. Deep understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, browser fundamentals, performance, and web security. Strong experience with state management, API integrations, reusable components, and design systems. Proven track record of taking products/features from requirements through development, launch, and iteration. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to drive technical decisions.
Good to have
Experience with Next.js or other modern React frameworks. Experience building and scaling SaaS or B2B web products. Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and observability. Experience with micro-frontends or large-scale frontend architectures. Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and modern deployment practices. Experience with automated frontend testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright. Exposure to backend technologies and REST/GraphQL APIs. Experience building secure applications involving sensitive or business-critical data. Experience hiring, structuring, and growing frontend engineering teams.
